By @ 06/04/12 in being freelance, hello world, software development

I have started countless blogs in the past, and in that exciting moment when you’re about to write your first post, you can think of only one title for it… you’re not sure what you’re going to do with your blog, or who you want to talk to, but you know all you want to yell out loud…

“Hello World!”

Well, this time is different: this time I know what I’m doing. I know what LuviSoft is all about and I know what my goal is.

Whatever you do with your life, be slave of no one

That’s what a wise man told me long time ago, and I really wanted to take his advice, but sadly I did not. I went the safe way, got a decent job in a decent place within my area of expertise, one that pays the bills, but one that doesn’t make you happy.

LuviSoft is my first real attempt to make one of my long cherished dreams come true: take all I have learned about IT, programming, website design and development, mobile development, UI and UX study and design, databases design and optimization… ok that’s quite a lot of stuff already! A lot of ingredients for my recipe that is supposed to turn out to a good freelance software developer.

So here I am, to tell the tale of my journey as a freelancer. If you did the same, get in touch and be sure to let me know if you’re still happy with your choice, if you would do it again, or if you have any regrets.

I’ll try to always provide my blog posts in two languages (did I mention that I am located in Italy?), and to keep things interesting around here. In my next posts I’ll write about my first steps as a freelancer in the real world, as well as online resources to find work while sitting at your desk.
